Collective Excellence
Training for LA28 is a pursuit I don't take on alone.
After more than two decades at the highest level of Paralympic sport, I've learned that sustained excellence isn't built by one person. It's built by a team of people who bring expertise, commitment, and belief to the process every day.
From my coach and training partners to the prosthetic specialists, medical professionals, and partners who keep me healthy and competing at my best—each person plays a role in the journey toward LA28.
This page is dedicated to the people and organizations behind the athlete: the team helping me prepare, adapt, solve problems, and keep moving forward as I pursue another Paralympic Games on home soil.
Prosthetic Team
My relationship with Dream Team Prosthetics began in 2003, when I first met Chad Simpson at the Endeavor Games and asked if he could build me a prosthesis specifically for sport. What started as a conversation quickly became a friendship and a partnership that has lasted throughout my entire athletic career. For more than two decades, Dream Team Prosthetics has continually adapted my prosthetic technology to meet the demands of competing at the highest level, while fostering relationships with companies like Alps and Ottobock to bring together the components that make my competition and daily setup possible. Today, my prosthesis utilizes an Alps EasyLiner and SFPHD Superior Performance Sleeve to secure my limb within a custom total-contact suction socket, paired with an Ottobock 1C60 Triton foot for energy storage and response. The expertise, relationships, and ongoing support of the Dream Team Prosthetics team remain an essential part of my pursuit of LA28.
A big thank you to Chad, Randy, and the entire team at Dream Team Prosthetics, Ottobock and Alps.
Dream Team Prosthetics, Ottobock, AlpsSince 2009, Larry Judge has been the most constant presence in my athletic career and the most influential coach in my development as a world-class discus thrower. With decades of experience coaching at the collegiate and international levels, Larry has brought both technical expertise and a long-term perspective to my pursuit of excellence.
Together, we have navigated the highs and lows of a career spanning multiple Paralympic Games, world championships, injuries, setbacks, and world-record performances. Larry’s influence has extended beyond the technical aspects of the throw—helping me return to fundamentals, trust the process, and continually refine the small details that allow excellence to be sustained over time.
After more than 15 years of coaching, our relationship represents far more than athlete and coach. Larry has been a trusted mentor and a steady presence throughout my journey, helping me develop not only as an athlete, but as a person committed to the pursuit of sustained excellence.

Since 2018, Ryan French and the team at LiveWell Family Chiropractic Center have been an important part of my training and recovery. Ryan has supported me through chiropractic care, massage therapy, and red light therapy, always making himself available when I need treatment or support.
Over the years, our professional relationship has developed into a genuine friendship. Our conversations have extended well beyond treatment, often covering sports, training, and life. Ryan and the LiveWell team have consistently supported me and my career, and I am deeply grateful for the care and commitment they have provided throughout the years.
